At Het Taalhuis cycling lessons are given to all who want to learn how to ride a bike safely and with confidence. The lessons take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 09.30 am to 11.30 am. As from December 2022 these lessons are free of charge.
We work with the method “I learn to cycle” developed by the cycling association Fietsersbond. Theory lessons are a fixed part of the cycling program. If the student successfully completes the theory test and can safely cycle the practical route, a diploma is awarded.
On the grounds of Cultuurhuis Bovendonk students learn to cycle under supervision. If a student has never cycled before, we start with balance bikes and work step by step towards the moment when the student can really cycle independently. If the technical skills are sufficient, students will ride on the bicycle paths and discover Roosendaal under the guidance of our volunteers.

You don't need your own bike, we have several bikes available for the lessons.
Flat shoes like trainers or sneakers are recommended. Cycling is like a work-out, so don’t dress too warm.
You can sign up by sending an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Or contact us by phone or Whatsapp: 06-229 45 901.
For our lessons we use 2 types of bicycles: folding bicycles with folding pedals, and small city bikes with hand brakes. Unfortunately, these types of bicycles are difficult to obtain second-hand for a reasonable price.
If you can donate one of these types of bicycles, would you think of us please?
