Het Taalhuis


Our name ‘Het Taalhuis’ means ‘The Home of Language’. We give Dutch language lessons at 6 different levels using modern technologies and textbooks.

We also offer cycling lessons to those who cannot ride a bicycle yet and we spend a lot of time and effort on building and maintaining social contacts.

Calendar


We follow the schedule of the school holidays as issued by the Dutch government for the southern region (Regio Zuid).  Although the summer holidays of Het Taalhuis are longer than the school vacation, we stop a few weeks earlier and we start a bit later than the regular schools.

School year 2024-2025


  • Autumn break: 19th October until 27th October 2024
  • Christmas break: 21st December 2024 until 5th January 2025
  • First lessons of 2025: from the 6th of January
  • Spring break: 1st March until 9th March 2025
  • Easter Monday: 21st April 2025
  • May break: 19th April until 4th May 2025
  • Whit Monday: 9th June 2025

 

 

School year 2023-2024


  • Morning for volunteers only: 30th of August 2023
  • First language lessons: Monday 4th of September 2023
  • First cycling lessons: Tuesday 5th of September 2023
  • Autumn break: 14th October until 22nd October 2023
  • Christmas break: 23rd December  until 7th January 2024
  • First lessons of 2024: from the 8th of January
  • Spring break: 10th February until 18th February 2024
  • Easter Monday: 1st of April 2024
  • May break: 27th April until 5th May 2024
  • Whit Monday: 20th of May 2024
  • End of year celebration and last morning:

                    Wednesday 19th of June 2024
